Good to Know Before you Book

Camping or hotels?

Add Camp Nomad at the extras step for a rooftop tent and all the camping essentials you will need, including iKamper rooftop tent, awning, cooking equipment and sleeping gear. Prefer a hotel? Hire the vehicle on its own.

Getting your vehicle

Airport or train station transfer: From £216 return. We meet you at Edinburgh or Glasgow airport/city centre and take you to our base in Perth, then drop you back at the end of your trip.

Vehicle delivery: Get in touch for a price, if you’d rather we bring the Defender to you.

Security Deposit: £1500 Classic Defender / £2500 New Defender

This isn’t a charge. We place a hold on your card when you collect the vehicle and release it when the vehicle and equipment are returned undamaged, usually within 7 days. Your card needs enough available credit to cover it.

Your payment.

40% deposit today, with the balance due 4 weeks before you travel. Bookings made within 4 weeks of travel are paid in full. See our terms & conditions for more details.

What happens next?

Once you’ve booked, we’ll be in touch to arrange your transfers, pick-up and drop-off times, and anything else you’d like help with, from itinerary planning to activities and extra gear.

Who can drive?

You must have a full, valid driving licence, some countries may require additional confirmation from our insurer. Drivers must be aged between 23 and 75.

What if I need to change or cancel my trip?

We will allow date moves, subject to our discretion, if you find yourself in circumstances that mean you cannot travel. Our trips are non-cancellable once booked. We do not allow date changes for adverse weather conditions.

Where do I collect the vehicle from?

Our home base is Unit 7, Lawgrove Place, Perth, PH1 3XQ. We can also collect you from the airport, train station or your hotel.
